“According to the Office of the Postmaster General of the United States Postal Service, a post office was established in Warrenton on October 26, 1841. However, by January 8, 1856, this post office was moved to Haubstadt, and has been the Haubstadt Post Office ever since” (pg. 234). The location of this post office has changed within Haubstadt, as the current location at the northeast corner of Haub and Race Streets was dedicated in 1988. The total contract construction cost of the 1988 post office was $164,000.
