Looking for something new and different to read, look no further than this month’s staff picks! Each month we give a staff member a few prompts to pick some of their favorite books. April’s staff picks were chosen by our newest library clerk Amanda.
What has been your favorite book this year?
That would be a tie between The Only One Left by Riley Sager and We Live Here Now by Sarah Pinborough. Both just kept me intrigued, guessing and needing to find out what happened next. The twists kept coming with both which made them hard to put down!
The Only One Left by Riley Sager is available at Fort Branch Library and Haubstadt Library and on Libby as an e-book or audiobook. We Live Here Now by Sarah Pinborough is available at Haubstadt Library and on Libby as an ebook or audiobook.
What is a nonfiction book you enjoyed recently?
Atomic Habits by James Clear was a good read. It was about how tiny habits and small changes can make big improvements in the long run. I enjoyed learning new simple things I can do better everyday.
Atomic Habits by James Clear is available at Fort Branch Library and on Libby as an audiobook.
What is a book you are looking forward to reading?
I am currently reading through Catherine Mack’s The Vacation Mysteries and can’t wait until the next book comes out later in April. This Weekend Doesn’t End Well for Anyone is book three for the series.
This Weekend Doesn’t End Well for Anyone by Catherine Mack is available at Fort Branch Library and Haubstadt Library and on Libby as an audiobook.
