Looking for something new and different to read, look no further than this month’s staff picks! Each month we give a staff member a few prompts to pick some of their favorite books. December’s staff picks were chosen by our library director Laura.
What has been your favorite book this year?
Broken Country by Claire Leslie Hall. This is a Reese’s Book Club book and I was heading out on a long car ride, so I decided to give this one a try. I really enjoyed the story line and the author did a great job of making you ache for some of the characters. Great read!
Broken Country by Claire Leslie Hall is available at Fort Branch and Haubstadt Library and on Libby as an e-book or audiobook.
What is a junior book that you think everyone should read?
Mirror Mirror by Jen Calontina. Read this just so I could answer patron questions. I found myself really liking the story. We all know the Snow White story, but this just gives more of the back story.
Mirror Mirror by Jen Calontina is available at Fort Branch and on Libby as an e-book or audiobook.
What is a book you are looking forward to reading?
Christmas in Bethel by Richard Paul Evans. ‘Tis the season! Got to read a Christmas book and this is a great author.
Christmas in Bethel by Richard Paul Evans is available at Fort Branch Library and on Libby as an e-book or audiobook.
