‘Tis the season to prepare for the upcoming holidays. Did you know the library subscribes to several magazines that you can check out? Here are just a few that we have on hand. I used the article about Paw-some Presents in the magazine, Taste of Home, to order some special toys for my pups. The Pioneer Woman magazine had an article to help me up my natural make-up look for the holidays. Do you like peppermint? The minty merriment article in Country Living has me planning a peppermint themed bar for our Christmas Day festivities. I can’t pass up a good salted caramel recipe. Paula Dean has a salted caramel thumbprint cookie recipe, in her magazine, that I actually think I can make. I found a few Christmas decorating ideas from the American Farmhouse magazine that I used this year. I’m always looking for ways to use my collection of decorations in a different way. Magazines are great for this.
As you are planning your menus for the holidays, check out these cookbooks: Taste of Home Holidays & Celebrations, Debbie Macomber’s Christmas Cookbook, and Christmas Cookies.
The library staff would like to wish all of our patrons a safe and happy holiday season.
