August Staff Recommendations

Aug 15, 2023 | Hidden Gems

With summer coming to an end and school starting back up again, our staff has some book recommendations for you help save time with the year ahead.

What is a book you would love to read of the first time again? Why?

The Witness by Nora Roberts. “This is a book that has a little romance and suspense. One you can read over and over again.”

The Witness is available at the Haubstadt Library. It is also available as an ebook on Libby.

What is a junior/children’s book you think everyone should read? Why?

The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. ” My kids loved this book when they were little and now my grand kids love this book. We read it over and over.”

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is available at both libraries. It is also available as both an ebook and an audiobook on Libby.

What is your favorite read of the year so far?

What Happens Next by Christina Suzann Nelson. “This is a suspense novel that you can’t put down. It is in the Christian section and it shows how prayer and having God in your life can get you through anything.”

What Happens Next is avalible at both libraries as well as on Libby in ebook form.
